Finally, I'm starting to regain proper sleeping time...For the past few months, my sleeping time was all over the place...Even if I have to wake up at 5 am for class, I fell asleep around 3 am...It's been a week since my mom has forced me to sleep early...By 12 midnight, I'm should be in my room, sleeping...At first, I was having a hard time because no matter what I do, I can't seem to fall asleep...Right now, by 11:30 pm, I'm starting to feel sleepy...And by the time, I lie in bed and close my eyes, I immediately fall asleep...I'm really grateful to my mom for these...
It's the second week of the 3rd term...This term I only have 9 units...My schedule has been fixed and I have 3 days off which are Monday, Thursday and Sunday...Tuesdays, I have Mechanics (Dynamics) from 12 to 430 pm, Wednesdays is Analytical Chemistry from 9 to 10:30 am, Fridays is also Analytical Chemistry from 7:30 to 10:30 am and Saturdays, I have 2 subjects which are Analytical Chemistry Lab from 7:30 to 12 nn and Ethics from 4:30 to 7:30 pm...
This morning I had analytical chemistry lecture which was sooo boring...I'm starting to hate it for various reasons...First, the professor is so boring...She's just reading the book...There's not much of explanations...Second, it's so early in the morning...It starts at 7:30 am...That means I have to wake up at 5 am...Third, we're required to bring the book every meeting...And we're talking about an almost 2 inches thick chemistry book...Fourth, because of this book, I'm forced to use a backpack because it's heavy and I'm having a hard time with it when I ride the train...Fifth, some of my classmates are counting on me to answer our homeworks then they'll just copy...Why don't you try doing your own homework for a change?! Lastly, it's torture inside the room...It's so damn cold and I'm freezing...
American Idol has started last Wednesday, 14th of January...The new season (8?) kicked off in Arizona, Phoenix...What I was looking forward to was the new judge, Kara DioGuardi...She's a singer, songwriter and record producer...And has worked with Kelly Clarkson, Celine Dion, Carrie Underwood, Paula Abdul and Britney Spears...On the first day of a audition, she already got head to head with a contestant, popularly known as the Bikini Girl...Bikini Girl sang a rendition of Vision of Love and DioGuardi disapproved of the way the contestant sang it so DioGuardi herself demonstrated how it should be sang with the "swaying"...And Bikini Girl told DioGuardi that her demonstration wasn't any better...That's where the hot head to head started...And I assure you it will continue in the following rounds...Well, Bikini Girl really has the voice and body (not so much of the face, her body's more beautiful than her face), so she was allowed to go to hollywood...Just a bot of advice, "Your demonstration wasn't any better" isn't something you should say to an accomplised singer, songwriter and record producer...
Drama for the week:
Corner with Love (Taiwanese)
Alan Luo as Qin Lang
Barbie Hsu as Yu Xin Lei/Sherry
Dean Fujioka as An Teng Feng/Kaede
Chen Zhi Kai as Yin Shang Dong
Corner with Love is a love story between a rich and pampered girl and an oyster omelette chef who dreams to be an artist...For the first few episodes, the story takes place in Shangai, China...Qin Lang came to Shanghai with the hopes of publishing his drawings...However, he's been conned and is now working as an oyster omelette chef in a small restaurant named Happines 131...Yu Xin Lei is a glittery shining princess (as Qin Lang describes her)...She's a rich, spoiled girl that has everything she could wish for, loving parents, loyal assistant, money, beauty, intelligence and Yin Shang Dong, her rich fiance who loves her very much...Qin Lang and Yu Xin Lei met when Qin Lang rans into Xin Lei's care while delivering...They instantly did not like each other and thought that they'd never meet again...However, Xin Lei decided to learn cooking taiwanes snacks to impress her future mother-in-law so she went to Happiness 131 and was forced (because there's no other option) to hire Qin Lang to teach her how to cook oyster omelettes...Qin Lang reluctantly agrees but helps Xin Lei in the end...Everything leems fine but soon after, Xin Lei's parents go bankrupt, disappeared and left her alone thinking that Shang Dong will take care of her...But Shang Dong's parents won't let him marry Xin Lei and was instead engaged to another heiress...Xin Lei is left nothing but a letter telling her to go to Tawiwan and a key to a house they supposedly own in there...When she arrives in Taiwan, she met Qin Lang and they found out that the house her mentioned by her parents in the letter is owned by Qin Lang's grandma...Despite many discussions and arguments, Qin Lang's grandma allows her to stay as a tenant...And this starts the love story between Xin Lei and Qin Lang...
Corner with love is one of the best love stories I have watched...I rarely see a drama where it's the guy who falls in love with girl first and chases her endlessly...Qin Lang gets his heart broken many times but still stays by Xin Lei's side...He cried a LOT not only because of Xin Lei but also of his parents...The chasing scenes may be repetitive (Qin Lang went home to Taiwan - Xin Lei also went to Taiwan - Xin Lei went back to Shanghai - Qin Lang followed her to Shanghai - They both went back to Taiwan)...But I never got tired of it...I liked how they always miss each other...One scene was when Qin Lang was riding the car to the airport (he's going back to Taiwan) and Xin Lei was looking for him...Xin Lei was on the street and the moment the car passed her, she turned her back on the street and at the same time Qin Lang looked away from the window, so they missed seeing each other...Another was when Xin Lei arrived in Taiwan and passed by the snack stall of Qin Lang's grandma where Qin Lang is helping out...As soon as Xin Lei passed, Qin Lang stood up from washing the dishes and they missed each other again...But the best thing I enjoyed in watching it are the animations...They put sweatdrops and pissed off marks (sorry, I don't know what it's called...It's the thing that's drawn in the head of a character when he's mad just like in anime)...It gives more emphasis or rather a clear view as to what the character is feeling...All in all, I give it a 9.5 out 10 ( because nothing is perfect) ^_^
Random updates:
- Haven't watched Code Blue Sp yet...I can't find a subbed video...
- BoA is releasing a new Japanese single "Eien" on February 18...Looks like her American debut isn't going well...
- A new scary reality show called 13: Fear is Real aired it's first episode in America and I really want to watch it...It looks interesting...Contestants are eliminated by being killed off ( don't know how though)...
- I've been to Tegoshi Yuya fandom, sort of been to Nishikido Ryo fandom and now I'm in Yamashita Tomohisa fandom...Now, who's gonna be next?maybe Shige...
- While I'm in Yamapi fandom, I'm also starting to enter in Taiwanese entertainment fandom...I remember I used to be all over 5566 when I was in high school but I don't find them interesting anymore (rather there's nothing interesting going on around them anymore)...I'm starting to get into Alan Luo fandom (he really reminds me of Yamapi, they kinda look alike) and I find Wu Chun cute...
- I'm watching Hot Shot right now and on the 4th episode...
- Watched Twilight again in the cinema with Kat last Saturday...She likes it so much...Don't know why...As for me, the movie was ok but not great...I still prefer the book...
Going back to watching Hot Shot...
