Almost Over...

One more final exam
and I'll say bye bye to the 3rd term


I had my finals for Mechanics last Tuseday
after the exam, my prof checked our papers and computed our grades
so after about an hour, the class already knew their standing
my score in the finals was 55/100
and after the computations, I ranked first in the class
my overall grade was 57 %
the passing grade was 60 (although our prof can still lower it down if he wants to)
so technically, I failed
but since I'm first, he said he'll pass me
Yay!
Lady luck is on my side ^_^
I'm happy with just a grade of 3.00
I have one less worry
I hope he decides to pass all 5 of us
but if not, at least give them 7.00 for incomplete so they won't fail
after the exam, there's still 2 hours left of class time
one of my classmates brought his laptop
so we just watch "Kung Fu Panda"
I had so much fun
it was so cute and funny
he never realized that he was adopted
I mean where in the world can you see a swan (?) father and his son is a panda
that's just ridiculous
anyway, it's one of the few animated movies that I liked


I've already accepted that I'll fail analytical chemistry lecture
my first 2 quizzes were really low
and it would be impossible to catch up
just when I've decided that all hope is gone, something really unexpected happened
I received the results of my 3rd quiz last Wednesday and guess what?!
I PASSED!!!
my score was 69/100
My resolve that I'll fail was all crushed (resolved to fail?!what kind of resolve is that?!)
and I was having my last quiz in that subject last Friday
more signs of hope was given to me
there was one problem where the correct final answer was written
I'm not sure if it was a typo or my prof really intended for it to be there
when I first answered it, I got it wrong
then when I was double checking my answers, I realized that I miscalculated that one
I computed the figures again and whoa!!!
I GOT IT CORRECT!!!
my tension is up again
it seems that He wants me to pass
but I don't want to get my hopes up so much
because if I see a 5.00 (failing grade) for that, I'll feel really disappointed and depressed
I don't want to feel that way
well, there's still the finals in Wednesday and I'll study hard for it
I'll do my best!
as for the laboratory counterpart, I'm 100% sure I'll pass
so no problems


Last Friday, I cooked again after a long time
I cooked Carbonara and toasted bread for dinner
it was sooo delicious
(yep, I'm proud of my cooking and baking skills, everything I make is yummy)
even my brother who is not fond of white sauce really liked it
I'm so happy
when I had my birthday party last year, I cooked the spaghetti
and everyone said it was delicious
it was after everyone was finished that I revealed I was the one who cooked it
Ohhh I loved their reaction especially my high school friends
I used to bake on weekly basis
my friends asked me to

so they asked me to sell them hehehe
but I've been busy with school
that I didn't have time for my hobbies
with the 3 week summer vacation coming
I'll be back on the kitchen


my dad left this noon for Singapore
he went for a business trip and will be gone for a week

I had my practical exam in Analytical Chemistry laboratory this morning
since we can't decide on the order of taking the exam, we drew lots by group
I wanted to got first thought but I can't say it out loud
in the end, I was the last person to take the exam
the pattern of the exam is like this:
we'll go inside the room one by one
we have 10 minutes to finish the 3 stations for the exam
then additional 5 minutes for the computations
after taking the exam, the students stay inside the room until no one's waiting for their turn outside
since I'm last, it means I'll be left alone waiting outside the room
just the thought of that made me lonely
but I wasn't left alone
Mm other friends' who were having their class in the room in front of ours joined me
their teacher hasn't arrived yet so we talked a bit
It raised my spirits
and by the time I was called their teacher still hasn't arrived
while I was doing my exam, my professor and other classmates went back to our usual room
and I was left in the care of the laboratory assistant
it was a plus for me because I was the only student in the exam room so there were no distractions
I was able to concentrate
the first station was about apparatus
there were 10 apparatus and I had to identify them and their uses
the second part was about laboratory set-ups
there were 2 set-ups and I had to point out the mistakes in them
the third part is titration
we had to titrate the acid until it changes color then compute for its molarity
as soon as I finished, I knew I did well
I was able to answer everything within the given time
even in the titration part, the color of my solution was really light pink
I saw the others' work and they're all dark pink, almost fuschia
our professor checked my paper as soon as she received it and guess what I got
I got a 96/100!!!!
I was so happy
it's been a long time since I got a score that high
actually, I did not have any mistakes
I only lack 4 answers for the second part
next week, we'll be having the written exam
so I still have to study for it


after class, I waited for Kat's class to finish
we ate lunch in Chowking
as usual, we watched a movie
we watched "He's just not that into you"
at first, we though of watching Streetfighter: Legend of Chun-Li
but Allan's going to kill us (kakatayin niya kami) so we decided to watch another film and wait for the time that Allan and Shid can join us to watch it
Allan and Shid had their defense for their feasibility studies so they weren't able to come
after the movie, we strolled the mall a bit while waiting for my parents
when we separated, I went to the department store because my parents were there
I bought a new bag then we went home


it was my dad's birthday last Tuesday but he wasn't aound that time
so hasn't treated us yet
we went home to fetch my brother and housekeeper
we ate dinner at Max's Restaurant
we ordered and ate a lot
there's pancit canton, sinigang na tiyan na bangus, camaron rebosado, kare-kare, and a whole chicken
I was so full
For sure, it'll be a while before we eat out like this again

again, it was so cool just like the "One drop" pv especially Ueda and Jin's dance part
it's so cool that it makes me mad

I'm worried that if I continue seeing KAT-TUN like these, I might go back to their fandom


I watched TVXQ's pv "Survivor"
it was ok, I didn't really like it
then I watched their Smap x Smap guesting without english subs
(I was surprised I understood the interview, my mom was eyeing me suspiciously while watching it because there were no subs and yet I was laughing and smiling)
watching their pv gave me realization
TVXQ is the very first asian boyband that I knew
I remember watching them in Show Music Tank in Arirang TV
I think it was U-know and Mickey were the hosts at that time
but I did not bother checking them out
I had no interest in internet that time
and BoA was the only reason why I was watching that show
They sang "Purple Line" in Smap x Smap
so I checked out it's video as well as "Mirotic"
and I seriously liked it
now I'm thinking of downloading their songs

and I don't want to because it takes up so much time

Hell week officially starts on Monday
it's the last week of the term
I've started my ethics essay and made 3 pages now
still need 1 or 2 more pages
last Friday, I asked one of my classmates in ethics about his essay
he said he asked his friend that is a law student to do the essay for him?!
that is sooo unfair
here I am, racking my empty brain for ideas and worrying myself out that I won't be able to finish it
and there he is asking someone else to do it for him while he sleeps in our class!!!
I hate people like that
I did not talk to him for the rest of the class
(that was in our anal chem class by the way)
but of course, I didn't show how angry I was
as a result, I lost my motivation to do the paper
what's the use of doing something that I know will just get a passing grade while someone will get a higher grade for the same work that he didn't do
it really pissed me off
so for 2 days, I slacked off
but this morning, I asked my other classmates how their paper is going and found out that they haven't even started it yet
knowing that I'm quite ahead of the others made me a bit happy
and now I'm back on track
Ugh, I'm such a simple minded person


I've finished watching "Lunch Queen"
at first, I only watched it because of Yamapi
but as I watch more episodes, I started to enjoy it
the plot is nice and I loved the female lead
it's about family, friendship, but more on romance
not to mention, the food were looks delicious that it made me hungry while watching
right now, I'm watching "Long Love Letter"
it's another Yamapi jdrama but the plot is also good
it's also about friendship and romance

Aiba cracks me up so much
I can't believe what I've been missing on the Arashi fandom
I've always liked Arashi
I'm a fan of them as individuals but not their songs
their songs just don't appeal to me

I've been thinking of what I want to do with my life
and it's stressing me out
when I was a kid, I wanted to be a doctor
but I can't handle blood and syringes so I gave up
watching Code Blue reminded me how great doctors are
I'm on my 4th year in college now
it's too late to change careers
not to mention I still can't handle syringes
so I've thought of an alternative where I can be in medical and engineering field at the same time
and I've found not only one but two possible fields
(actually not only 2 but these are what I'm interested)
They are Biomedical engineering and Biomaterials engineering (I prefer this one better)
I don't think these fields is being offered anywhere in the Philippines
so I looked for other possible universities
I have mentioned before that I want to study my Master's Degree in Japan so obviously I looked for Japanese universities
so far, I have only found 2 who offers them
Tokyo Institute of Technology and University of Tokyo
I can probably get into Tokyo Tech but it's in Yokohama
I prefer to be in Tokyo but with my level, it seems Todai is impossible
and this is what's stressing me out
(this kinda seem pointless right now because I still have to graduate from bachelor's degree)


earlier I asked my brother if I can be a model too
and he said "Oo naman, ikaw lang naman ang ayaw eh"
which roughly translates to "of course you can, it's just you who doesn't want to"

I've been to 4 schools till now
attended an all girls Catholic school during grade school in Bicol
spent my first year high school in a science high school in Subic
transferred to Manila during my second year until fourth year high school
studying college in a different school for four years now

loves to study especially math, physics and chemistry
enjoys solving problems, anything that has numbers

bad at memorization
hates history and literature classes

I took ballet lessons for a year when I was in grade 2

I used to be a dancer in grade school (modern dance)
but stopped when I entered high school

I play the guitar and keyboards
even tried composing songs

I used to have a band in first year of college
but after 2 jamming sessions, we just of kind of disbanded

learned Taekwondo one summer in grade school
graduated from white belt
my mom forced me to stop because it will interfere with my studies

an orange belter in Karatedo
but had to stop because of my asthma (or is it laziness?)

I can drive but I don't want to
I got hit when I was having my driving lessons

I love the beach but I don't swim
I prefer not to
I have a mild case of hydrophobia
I don't like putting my head underwater
(I drowned when I was a kid)

scared of syringes especially IV drops

I'm good at handling money
a thrifty person

he's so funny and his dancing is effortless
he's singing is average though
